Richard Quinn

Richard is principal of Quinn Consulting Associates, LLC, a full-service fundraising consulting firm in Wayne, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. Richard’s career in fundraising began at The Field Museum in Chicago, IL, where he served on a fundraising team tasked with raising more $60 million to enhance the organization’s endowment. Since then, he worked as part of the capital campaign teams at The Hill School (Pottstown, PA), The Philadelphia Orchestra and the Free Library of Philadelphia. In 2008, Richard formed Quinn Consulting Associates. Since then, he and his partner, Karen Kruza has served more than 70 nonprofit organizations in a whole host of capacities including capital campaigns, major gifts and annual giving, foundation relations and grant writing, special events counsel, fundraising program assessment and planning, CDO and development staff coaching, interim CDO services, and board and staff training in “the art of the ask.” Richard’s expertise has had an impact on nonprofits in a variety of sectors, including health and human services, education, housing, public interest law, women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, animal welfare, heritage sites, and arts and culture. Richard is also a campaign advisor with the Capital Campaign Toolkit, which advises nonprofits around the world as they plan for, implement, and steward major projects fundraising campaigns.
